RYA Powerboat Level 2 Course



RYA Powerboat Level 2

A challenging course with two full days of powerboating techniques packed with information.

For people who have had some knowledge of boat handling and seamanship. Courses are run over two days but can be extended to three days for those who require more experience. The course is packed with information with plenty of hands on experience. Lectures will be at held at the Marina at Neyland, where the boats are also based. There is our own 36 foot hard boat called Predator, and also our high speed rib called Marly II. You will be given different situations to work out during the course and various problems to solve.

Most of the time you will be on Marly II our 6.5 metre rib capable of speeds of 50 kts with amazing acceleration, with the 140hp fuel injection 4 stroke engine. This is where the fun begins, we take you out to St Ann's Head where you will experience some rough water techniques.
Course numbers on the boat is kept to a minimum to ensure that there is plenty of hands on experience for everyone.

There will be an examination at the end of the course, which you will have to show that you are in full control of the boat. RYA Level 2 is of a high standard and is not an automatic pass.

Cost £190.00 for two days. Available by request. Single £220.00
